The 2015 edition of the Sydney Jamboree sure had it’s fair share of carnage, fortunatley everyone did walke away unharmed from all incidents. Check out our epic photo gallery from the event plus a few hair rasing videos.
By far the most dramatic moment came when Malcolm Glassett flipped his Factory Xtreme Celica in front of Scott Porter’s machine forcing Porter to lock the brakes and collide with the right hand wall. Glassett impacted the left wall upside down and continued to slide on his roof into the sand trap before rolling back over. Both drivers walked away unharmed, Porter’s car sustained some body damage while the Top RPM Celica is a virtually a write off.

A lot can be said for the safety of today’s race cars.
Lee Docherty also became a braking area victim when his rotary powered MX5 locked up and tagged the left hand braking area wall tearing off a front wheel.
Check out more onboard footage from the roof and looking out from behind, it was also nice of the departed wheel to follow the wounded MX5 into the turnaround loop and how good is the response time from Sydney Dragway’s safety crew.
And now for some tyre shake!
