Some call it sand drags, some call it dirt drags, but if it involves big paddle tyres and a straight line it is pretty much all the same thing! Check out some of the action from the Bindoon Dirt Drags on the weekend about 90 minutes north east of Perth, WA.
The event attracted both pure sand draggers including a blown altered and an assortment of V8 bikes, as well as a handful of regular drag racers who threw a paddle tyre on the back including Ben Stevens and his ANDRA Top Fuel Motorcycle-event winning nitro Harley and the Ferguson family’s Junior Dragsters.
It really was like something out of Mad Max at times, what with the red dirt and crazy machinery. But check out the photos and you will see what we mean!
