The Queensland Drag Racing Championships have reached their halfway point in the season as contenders for the 2024 Track Championship emerge.

Into the winners on the day and in the index brackets with Jai Schulter once again taking out Super Comp in his E/Gas Cavalier over a returning Dave Tucker. While it was a family affair again in Comp Bike between Ken and Chris Collin, with doing the business with a win over his father.

Patrick Barron made his charge for the Top Sportsman Track Championship with a win in the families Beretta against Danny Lake’s Oldsmobile. The two title contenders in Super Sedan went head to head in the final for the championship lead, with .00 lights on either side in the final, Mitchel Bauer scraped home at the stripe for the win over Damien Morris

The Modified final did not feature Lucas Holz for the first time this season, but he still holds a points lead over the field in his altered. Chris Read nailed the win light in the final against Jason Vanderlinde to solidify second in the title run in his chase of Holz. Brian Alvisio still remains undefeated in Modified Bike for the season, the holeshot setting up the win in the final against Alan Annis Jr in a double-breakout race.

A red light from Denis Ryan by just two-thou gifted the Super Street final win to Shawn Taskis allowing his to take the championship lead in his Capri. Real Street pulled the numbers together as an exhibition category as Ian Neilsen took home the category win against Pauly Gingell in the final.

Finally Neelah Paul wrapped up the in Junior Dragster running 8.304 on a 8.30 to hit the stripe first ahead of Vanz Peirano.
