The NSW Drag Racing Championship series returned from its Winter hiatus, and while a huge entry of racers were keen, the event was hit by a bunch of bad luck that saw the racing program cancelled before completion.
A number of incidents during the day pushed the program back into the evening where problems with the staging light beams further disrupted the schedule. When racing continued again briefly, it was halted by an on track incident with a bike competitor, with the plummeting track temperatures the resultant delay and clean up would take too long for racing to resume safely.
At the point of cancelling, racing was still only in the first round of eliminations for all the brackets, racers were awarded championship points based on the point of completion of their bracket.
