After the first round of the 2025 Sydney Dragway NSW Championship ended abruptly due to weather, round two presented itself as the first opportunity for racers to take home a win in this year’s hard fought sportsman series.
Claiming the first wins of the season were:

Anthony Bool in Boosted Outlaws after driving around third generation racer Kurtis Read in the final with a 7.544 on a 7.50.

Alex Borg punched out a six second pass to ride away with the Extreme Bike win over David Franks.

A couple of former Pro Stock cars of very different vintages hammered out the Top Sportsman final with Thomas Leake taking the win over Owen James.

Jess Turner drove around a .009 reaction from George Bukureshliev’s FED to win the Modified final.

Michael Milaslewicz made the trek from Victoria worth it nailing the Super Sedan final round win in his Capri over local gun Jim Denaro.

Someone other than Sean Ricketts has won a Modified Bike round, Jessy Barnes defeated Ricketts in the semi final then won the final over Jimmy Stewart.

It was nip and tuck in the Super Gas final with Vince Panetta edging out Luke Romeo in a double breakout duel.

Young gun Denis Plessas finished on top after battling a huge Super Street field and Richard Matosevic in the final in his XY GT.

Zayne Condello knocked up another win in Junior Dragster as he battled Charlotte Liefting in the final.

Linon Delios won Junior Drag Bike over the tyre tearing Adam Jordan in the final.

Shaun Dartnell little i30 did the damage in the Street Fighter final staying ahead of Glen Featherstone’s VZ.

Andrew Riches nabbed the Street Bike winner’s trophy with his Suzuki GSXR against Robert Gielb

NEWS & NOTES

BOSKO SEVEN: It’s been a long time coming but Josh Boskovich finally pushed his big nitrous snorting XA Falcon into the sevens with a 7.97 out of the 427 cube Fontana all off the pedal clutch.

IN MEMORIUM: It was lovely to see the late Chris Corbyn Torana back out on track and back on the bumper with Stuart Bennett doing the wrangling. A popular racer, Chris sadly passed away a few year’s ago well before his time – he would have been proud to see it back on track.
