Another season at Hidden Valley Dragstrip has come to a close with the running of the grand final for their track championship.
Winners on the night were Matt Abel in Top Eliminator with his Chev Top Doorslammer, but all eyes were on opponent Dennis Baylis, who’s blown altered went sky high then suffered a rough re-entry.
Super Modified went to the local burnout king Gary Baker in his blown Holden, as he picked up the win light over he dragster of Chris Moore.
Dean Hersey clocked up a Modified Bike win aboard his Suzuki over Allan Henry.
The ‘SLAPPA’ Hilux ute of Shaun Boyer was too good in Super Street, grabbing the win in final over David Bates.
Tony List earnt a win in the all-Ford Street Car final with his classic XD Falcon over Tauri Minoque with her late model Focus.
Finally the Street Bike winners trophy went Hayden Vaas on his Harley, who picked up the victory by defeating Dave Tattingham’s Kawasaki.
The new season in the Top End will kick off in 2022 after the wet stuff abides, and COVID border closures are hopefully a memory, with some epic events planned.
