The Top Alcohol Funny Car world record war might not be over yet with WA racer Craig Glassby lightening his ride considerably with a new 2015 Camaro body.
Glassby said that combined with some weight loss on his own svelte frame, he hopes that the car will be underweight so the team can then move weight around where they need it.
As well as performance gains, Glassby explained that the new body requires only half the crew members it needed before to move around the workshop!
Glassby briefly held the world record as the quickest methanol fuelled Funny Car on the planet with a 5.410, but it was taken by Sweden’s Jonnie Lindberg earlier this year with a 5.36 pass.
