It is with great sadness we announce the passing of SA drag racing legend Len Leonard.
Len was the owner of OG Speed Shop in Adelaide for 34 years and supported many ANDRA members with sponsorship and more importantly friendship.
Len was honoured in 2014 with an ANFA Pioneer Award for his contributions to Andra drag racing across Australia.
In his 50 odd years of drag racing he raced at every dragstrip in the country apart from Ravenswood and Kwinana, making lifelong friends along the way.
Len was best known for his multiple race cars, in his words “the one that made him the most money” was his Wild Bunch Capri, if he wasn’t racing, he was at the track lending a hand to any one that needed it.
Len is survived by his wife Jan, sons Warren & Mathew, their wives Jane & Lisa, grand kids Ryan, Renee & Gemma, their partners Hannah & Ryan, great grandson Rex & the newest Leonard Crew Member due in December.
Jan Leonard has requested no flowers in lieu of donations to the help the fight against Alzheimer’s Disease, with details to come on how to donate and the funeral date.
