Sydney Dragway’s Day of the Drags event will see the Nitro Hot Rod debut for Queensland’s Brandon Gosbell, getting behind the wheel of “Agro”. Having become a regular behind the wheel of “King Kong” in the ever popular Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny car series, the March 12th event will be Brandon’s first taste of side by side fuel altered action up against the famous “Psycho” of Graeme and Wendy Cowin.
“I’m looking forward to coming out to Sydney Dragway on March 12th to race “Agro” – it will be my first event driving a fuel altered and I cannot wait to get out there and see what we can do!” Gosbell said.
“Driving these cars is a lot different to an Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Car, they are shorter wheelbase, less downforce and just straight up seem to have a bad attitude! You have to really be on your A game from the moment you stand on the throttle as you just never know what curveballs they are going to throw your way.”
“I am honoured to be able to drive “Agro” next weekend for GC and Wendy. It will be a pretty special moment when I’m lining up in the lanes beside “Psycho”; a car that means so much to not only them, but Australian drag racing as a whole”, Beamed and excited yet tentative Gosbell.
The Day of the Drags event features nostalgia themed Drag racing including Front Engine Dragsters, Altereds, wheel standing “gassers” (with the huge burnouts to boot!), along with a host of Aussie Muscle, American Muscle and Hot Rods as well.
Throw in the Shannon’s Show & Shine and Day of the Drags is an event that has something for the whole family!
