The Australian National Drag Racing Association Ltd. (ANDRA) is pleased to announce Grant Goodall has been appointed ANDRA CEO.
Grant comes to ANDRA with a history of CEO and senior board positions including Chairman of Harness Racing SA for a record eight years from 2003 – 2011 where he received a National Award for distinguished services to the sport.
During those eight years his many achievements included a management, constitution and Board structure overhaul, achieving tax concessions following successful lobbying of Government, retired a 10-year debt, and developed new revenue streams.
More recently while CEO and Board Director of the SA Amateur Football League (2011-2014), Grant completed a full business and strategic review and restructured the entire organisation within his first 9 months, recorded the organisations best financial results in 103 years, improved the financial position, attracted a multi-million dollar infrastructure grant from Federal Government and secured a naming rights partnership with Channel Nine.
New to Drag Racing, Grant said; “I’m looking forward to working with everyone involved in the Drag Racing community and believe my racing, sports administration and business background will put me in good stead to achieve the organisations goals.”
ANDRA Chairman Michael Fotheringham said he was delighted with the appointment and is looking forward to a refreshed outlook.
“Grant’s pedigree speaks for itself,” he said. “We are looking for a rejuvenated approach and welcome fresh ideas as we move forward into 2016.
“We are all excited Grant has agreed to join us and feel positive about the future with him at the helm.”
Grant commences as ANDRA CEO on 27 January 2016 but will attend the Australian Nationals at Calder Park on January 23-24, 2016.
