The Hidden Valley Drag Racing Association has announced that Nitro Up North will not go ahead for 2020.
Though things initially looked positive, with an announcement on June 19 that the event would go ahead, the HVDRA had to pull the plug on the popular show earlier this week.
They released a statement as follows:
The HVDRA Committee has made the difficult decision to cancel Nitro Up North for 2020.
In the current climate combined with state border restrictions, we feel that we would not be able to put on the quality show that our spectators and racers have come to enjoy.
This was not an easy decision to make and we are very saddened that we have not been able to produce a racing calendar for the 2020 season. We do however look forward to making it a massive one in 2021 and appreciate everyone’s continued support.
