Craige Lewis has tasted Grudge Kings success before, but this year he will be taking on the $50K challenge with new weaponry.
A previous winner of Grudge Kings in his ultra-tough twin turbo Cortina, Lewis knows now to successfully take on the big dollar version of the event he needs some new arsenal to have a chance.
This will be a 1992 Notch Back Mustang being built by Pro Street Industries.
The Mustang has been gutted by Matt Marsh from PSI who will be turning it into a back half chassis radial car, with a 40 spline floating rear end. Craig Burns has supplied Menscer front struts and rear Menscer radial coil overs, with the car ideally set up for eighth mile radial racing with the hope of low fours.
Upfront will be an F3 Procharged, Pro Line-built 427ci Windsor with all Holley EFI and NxtGen Billet intake, backed by a Pro Trans built Powerglide. Handling the tuning duties will be Kon Michaloudakis from Wollongong Automotive Servies.
While the rush is on, the Mustang is hoped to be ready by this year’s $50K Grudge King shootout at Sydney Dragway.
