Summit Racing Equipment and the Australian National Drag Racing Association are pleased to announce increased contingency payouts.
These increased payouts (via redeemable product certificates) will be available at the previously announced Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series events for 2023, which are as follows:
• July 14-15, 2023 – Hidden Valley Drag Strip, NT Nationals
• July 22-23, 2023 – Alice Springs Inland Dragway, Desert Nationals
• September 16-17, 2023 – Mildura’s Sunset Strip, Sunset Nationals
• October 21-22, 2023 –The Bend Dragway, Spring Nationals
• November 24-25, 2023 –Perth Motorplex, Goldenstates
• December 2-3, 2023 – South Coast Raceway, South Coast Nationals
Previously, the contingency offered as part of the Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series events by Summit Racing Equipment were $100 for first place and $50 for second place.
Summit Racing Equipment says they are excited to be increasing the payouts for first and second to $150 and $100 respectively, while adding payouts of $50 each for third and fourth place. The redeemable product certificates to these values are redeemable for any kind of product that Summit Racing Equipment sells.
In total, this will see Summit Racing Equipment deliver potentially more than $22,000 USD in contingency payments to ANDRA members across the six 2023 Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series events.
“Summit Racing Equipment has a long history of providing contingency payments to ANDRA members as part of our larger partnership with ANDRA and the Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series,” Summit Racing Equipment Motorsport and Events Manager, Jim Greenleaf, said.
“With six Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series events scheduled for the remainder of 2023, we wanted to take the opportunity to increase and expand the contingency payments on offer to ANDRA members, in reward of their hard-earned efforts at Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series events.
“After crowning our 2022/2023 Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series Champions earlier this year, we are excited to see what the ANDRA racers have in store for us across these events from July through to December, and to celebrating their successes with them.”
ANDRA Caretaker Chief Executive Officer, Ian Brown, said he was pleased to see expanded rewards for ANDRA racers at these events.
“Summit Racing Equipment have been a fantastic and valued supporter of ANDRA drag racing for almost a decade, and we are so pleased to be able to announce this expanded contingency payment program thanks to their support,” Brown said.
“Getting a win or even advancing far enough in our events to be classified as finishing third or fourth is no easy feat, and I am excited to see that these racers will be further rewarded for their hard work and efforts across these six events.”
