A mad thrash in the workshop over the past few weeks by Robert and Jason Maggs with their crew, will see Maggs Racing ready, strong and bursting to hit the track for the East Coast Thunder event at Sydney on November 4 & 5.
A wait on parts from the U.S. has meant some nervousness in the Maggs Racing workshop in recent times – but things are now coming together nicely for them.
A new Liberty gearbox, the debut of their own CRD-MIII billet cylinder headsm and a fresh new livery will all be hitting the track with Jason for the first time in the qualifying rounds on the Friday.
The Melbourne-based team are extremely excited to see what results they can achieve after an off-season of what Jason says has been a “lot of blood, sweat and tears”, working to put their mighty mouse small block Chev back together – their goal has been to make it bigger, badder and stronger than ever before.
“It will come down to the wire, but Dad and I, with the assistance of some great people, are super keen to hit the track Friday and see what all our hard work can produce,” said Jason Maggs. “We will do a basic test pass first, then once everything is good, we will put down a full run and attempt to push our way into the incredibly competitive field that Pro Alcohol will be at this event.”
