Jess Turner (Epping, Victoria) will celebrate completing her Bachelor in Accounting this past Tuesday by crunching numbers of a different kind and racing in the Rowe Memorial Super Stock Classic at Calder Park Raceway Saturday November 19.
Following on from a runner up in Modified last month at Mildura Sunset Strip, Turner will be out to recapture the winning form at Calder Park that netted an Australian Nationals crown in January especially with a new sponsor on board and another waiting in the wings.
“We have signed a three round deal with Musicmaker International (www.musicmaker.com.au), an Australian owned audio-visual business providing services to leading Australian and International retail outlets,” she said.
Musicmaker International provides audio-visual advice to retail, government bodies, corporations, institutions and industry and also supply the in-store music, messaging and audio equipment for some well-known Australian companies.
Turner and her team will utilise the audio-visual expertise of Musicmaker International at upcoming events but this weekend she will literally look to blow off some steam following the completion of her studies.
“We are looking forward to racing the Rowe Memorial on Saturday, Calder Park is our home track and it’s always exciting racing surrounded by family and friends.
“Kavanagh Auto, City to City Enterprises, Paul Rogers Performance Trans, Dominator Converters, Vinyl Wraps and Graphics, Denso Spark Plugs, Racer Pro and Higgins Race Heads are all based in Melbourne so its great we are getting an opportunity to represent them in front of our home crowd.
“We had a good end to last season and we were pretty happy with our result in Mildura a few weeks ago with a runner up finish.”
The Rowe Memorial Super Stock Classic and Round 4 of the Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series will be held one day only on Saturday November 19 at Calder Park Raceway.
