After a promising Winternationals, a reinvigorated John Barbagallo, driver of the JB Automotive Escort has announced that the team will commit to a full season of Pro Stock racing for the upcoming NDRC/PDRC season.
Buoyed on by a personal best 197.54 MPH blast at the Winternationals, Barbagallo will have what it takes to me title challengers this season.
“Prior to the Winternationals I was on the dyno testing both of our engines and running comparisons between the two to see where both engines made their best power,” said Barbagallo.
“We also wanted to test both engines on track performance at the Warm Ups which gave us helpful data between the dyno and race track.”
After a more than 18 month absence from Pro Stock John Barbagallo and the team faced the biggest meeting of the year with little to no expectations, using the Winter Warm Ups and Winternationals as a test session for the coming season.
“It was great getting back to race again. The Winternationals was all about getting ready for next season,” he said.
“After our teams frustrations with a fuel issue in qualifying it was exciting to see that our hard work was starting to pay off with a new 197 MPH PB in speed during round one. Unfortunately we didn’t get the win, but we are looking forward to the upcoming season.”
Barbagallo will definitely be one to watch this upcoming season, flying the Ford power flag to do battle against the Chevs and Mopars as the Factory Hot Rods fight it out in what will be one tough season of racing starting Nov 15/16 at Sydney Dragway.
