-Fabietti Racing ACDelco Team Official Statement
It with a heavy heart that I have made the decision to leave the ACDelco Doorslammer Team after this year’s Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway.
Firstly I would like to thank Maurice and Mary Fabietti for the incredible opportunity they have given me, it’s been a dream come true. To the crew Phil, Duane, Mel, Toby, George and Paul, you all have been incredible, your dedication is truly inspiring.
I want to thank all the friends which are now my family that I have met along my journey, from the commentators, the NDRC team, track staff, sanctioning bodies, competitors and crew in every class.
To all my fans, especially the kids, thanks for all your support you have given me through the good times and bad.
To my family and friends that follow me from track to track around the country, the support is truly heart-warming.
To my outstanding sponsors, Morizzi Civil, VP Race Fuels Australia, Maximum Plumbing Services and Campisi Butchery, without all your support, I would not be here.
To the team sponsors, AC Delco, GM Trade Parts and Chevrolet Racing Australia – what you do for the team and the sport is second to none.
Last of all to my Mum, I know your heart is in your throat every single time the car starts but you still come and watch every single pass. Even though you were hesitant at first thank you for your love and endless support, I hope I have made you proud.
Thanks for the moments and the memories, this is not the end, it’s only the beginning. I will still be heavily involved in drag racing here and across the globe in every which way I can, this is my life. Keep your eyes peeled for what my future holds.
Love you all.
-Ronnie Palumbo
