Lamattina Top Fuel Racing is pleased to share that team member Lex Wilson is now awake and improving every day following the serious injury he sustained prior to the Mildura Mega Easter Weekend of Power Sports.
Lex remains in The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, and while his road to recovery continues, the strength and resilience he’s shown has been nothing short of inspiring.
“Lex is a fighter, and seeing the progress he’s made already lifts all our spirits,” said team owner and driver Phil Lamattina. “We’ve spoken with Lex’s family, and with their full support, we’ll be heading to Sydney to race—because that’s what Lex would want us to do.”
The team, together with Lex’s family, once again extends its deepest gratitude to everyone who offered assistance, kindness, and support at the track and beyond—from fellow teams and officials to volunteers and fans.
“We’ll be racing in Sydney with Lex in our hearts, and every run down the track will be for him,” added Lamattina.
