The latest addition to the nitro fuel altered ranks ‘Light Horse’ has burnt nitro for the first time on track.
The Phil Tucker owned, Stephen ‘Wombat’ Brown driven Light Horse AA/FA has been has been built to replicate the traditional fuel altered look, and it now has turned the first wheel in anger on the track.
For driver Brown, the car is quite a leap from his Super Street one-tonner, and the wait to sit behind the butterflies has been a long one, but it was one hell of a Father’s Day present.
So as expected a slow and steady approach is being taken.
After a initial launch, the AA/FA smoke the tyres hard on the second hit, and Brown was quick to get off the noise. Unfortunately the rapidly cooling condition ended any chance of more runs on the day.
Check out the video and we should see the car back out in the near future for more of a shake down.
