Lamattina Top Fuel Racing (LTFR) is proud to announce the launch of the all-new LTFR BLAHST Dragster, set to make its competition debut at the upcoming NDRC round at Sunset Strip, Mildura on February 27–28.

The new dragster will be piloted by longtime friend of the Lamattina team and experienced racer Shane Olive, marking an exciting moment for the Victorian-based outfit as it rolls out the BLAHST-backed machine for its first on-track appearance.
The Mildura event holds special significance for LTFR, with Sunset Strip being the team’s home track. Debuting the BLAHST-backed dragster in front of local fans and partners adds extra meaning to the launch.
The team also heads into the Mildura round with strong momentum, fresh off a standout performance at Portland where LTFR reset the track record in front of a packed crowd at South Coast Raceway. The result has the team riding high as it returns to its home track, with confidence and excitement building ahead of the BLAHST dragster’s first appearance.
Team owner Phil Lamattina said the program brings together strong relationships and a shared passion for Australian drag racing.
“We’re incredibly proud to roll out the LTFR BLAHST Dragster and to do it at Mildura makes it even more special,” Lamattina said.
“BLAHST has come on board with great energy and a real belief in what we’re building as a team. Having Shane in the car just feels right — he’s been around our program for a long time, he’s a great racer, and he understands what this team is about.”
Olive, who has a long-standing relationship with the Lamattina family and crew, said the opportunity to drive the new machine is one he’s relishing.
“I’ve known Phil and the Lamattina crew for years, so to jump in the LTFR BLAHST Dragster is something pretty special,” Olive said.
“To debut it at Sunset Strip in front of the Mildura crowd — that’s as good as it gets. We’re focused on putting on a great show for the fans and making the most of the opportunity.”
Fans can see the new machine on track for the first time when the NDRC heads to Sunset Strip, Mildura on February 27–28, with the team aiming to put on a strong performance at its home event.
