There’s a colourful new Funny Car ready to rumble out in Western Australia, with Michael King looking forward to getting into Supercharged Outlaws next season.

King has had the car for a decade and his taken his time to give it an overhaul. ‘Problem Child’ was unveiled at the Motorvation car show and should be ready to go with a few more months of prep.
“I bought the car 10 years ago as a roller and it has since had a complete rebuild,” he said. “The car is now setup with a 460ci big block Chevy and PSI supercharger. We are using a Crower clutch and a three-speed Lenco transmission. The body on the car is now a 93 Ford Mustang.
“The body was painted by Stephen at Donnybrook Panel and Paint, with graphics by Brad at On2it Graphics, and the engine work was done by Gavin at Westech Engines Reconditioning.”
