The Paul Mouhayet driven Moits Mustang doorslammer has eclipsed John Zappia’s record holding 5.63 Pro Slammer pass in testing today at Sydney Dragway.
The Moits Racing team are testing for three days at Sydney Dragway and had already clocked a 5.639 yesterday, just shy of Zappia’s 5.634 record run.
Confident of achieving .50s this weekend with American’s Billy Stocklin and Ty and Todd Tutterow in his corner, Mouhayet ripped a 5.585 at 257mph, the quickest pass ever for a legal Pro Slammer/Top Doorslammer in Australia.
“We went out there with the aim of running a 5.60 flat pass but picked up some extra numbers on the front,” Mouhayet said.
“We intend doing another test pass today to improve on our consistenc, particularly to half track, then pack it up for the East Coast Thunder,” he said.
