This Saturday night the Western Australian drag racing fans will get a dose of nitro action as the AEG Powertools, Darren Morgan Racing (DMR) Top Fuel Dragster rolls into Perth for the ‘Morgan v Lamattina’ Top Fuel Match Race. The event will be conducted at the very fast Perth Motorplex on Saturday November 20th 2010, with the race including three passes that will be staged at regular intervals throughout the evening.

Although the event isn’t an official ANDRA Pro Series meeting the spectators who venture to the race track should be in for some first class racing as both of the competitors are former Australian Top Fuel Champions. The opening pass of the series will be staged at 6.00pm, with the remaining two passes being held at 8.05pm and 10.10pm on Saturday night.

With Round 4 of the Australian Top Fuel Championship being held at the Motorplex on the 28th and 29th of January Darren and the Team are looking to gain as much valuable data that they can to use at the January points round.

Darren Morgan will take on Phil Lamattina in a match race this Saturday night in Perth

“As a team we really enjoy running at the Perth Motorplex and are we looking forward to putting on a great show for fans,” added Team Driver and Owner Darren Morgan.

“I can tell you that we won’t be hanging back this weekend as we want to get as much go-fast data as possible and I am sure that Phil (Lamattina) and the boys will be doing the same”

Darren and the Team will also be conducting a test pass on Saturday afternoon prior to the match race series later in the day.

Currently Darren leads the ANDRA Top Fuel Pro Series by 10 points over Sydney based racer Andrew Cowin despite losing in the semi final at the last round of the championship at Sydney Dragway.

Following the Perth Motorplex event DMR will focus their attention on Round 3 of the ANDRA Pro Series which incorporates Round 1 of the Willowbank Raceway New Years Series, which will be held between the 2nd and 3rd of January, 2011.
