Despite the recent border changes to-and-from Western Australia, the Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars event originally slated for early January 2021 will be postponed and replaced by the return of Nitro Slam on January 2.

Make no mistake, the Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Car Show at Perth Motorplex is one of the great Australian motorsport events.

However, due to the year that has been 2020, the venue and series organisers have confirmed that all parties are in a holding pattern at this stage.

“We love Perth Motorplex and we know the Perth fans love us, so not being able to attend in January is incredibly frustrating,” remarked series manager Morice McMillin.

“Our teams are from all corners of the country and the series logistics require enough time to plan and deliver.

“It is just not feasible in the short window now offered, to send the cars to Perth and offer the Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Car show in that timeframe.”

In good news however, January 2 will still be a huge offering for drag racing fans – with the return of the Nitro Slam event at Perth Motorplex.

Nitro Slam will feature a bunch of Nitro Dragsters, Nitro Funny Cars and Nitro Bikes, as well as a stacked field of Top Doorslammers contesting the next big round of the Direct Mining & Industrial Summer Slam Series. There will be family fun for everyone on the night too, just like the Aeroflow show.

The Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Car crew will definitely return to Perth at some stage and drag racing’s biggest ‘show’ will be worth the wait.

“In our discussions with the team at Perth Motorplex, we know we will be back as soon as it is viable to do so and deliver a killer show. Thanks to the wonderful fans in Western Australia for your support and we will see you soon,” McMillin said.
