Turbo teddies may be the in thing right now but there is still plenty of new black belts coming out for the blower fans.
South Australian Trent Robinson unveiled his stunning Camaro at a drag racing display last weekend, the car is Top Doorslammer spec, though Robinson has fitted a blown small block at present to hone his driving and tuning in Supercharged Outlaws with plan to step up to Top Doorslammer in time.
At the same display we saw Laurence Arbon’s blown Muzzy, which looks to be set up for Supercharged Outlaws.
Moving to the opposite end of the country we saw Troy Wittwer hit the track with what we are pretty sure is the ex Scott Maclean Top Doorslammer.
Still in the Top End, Peter Coles has had his now Top Doorslammer trim Camaro out for a play.
And Scott Maclean has run 5.80’s in the US testing his new Monaro Top Doorslammer.
In Sydney, Steven Sarkis showed off his rebuilt supercharged Nova for the first time at the Mighty Mods Nationals – the car was all but destroyed in an accident just over two years ago.
The Frank Mamone driven Cathis Racing ‘Cuda Top Doorslammer is a chance of making the Nitro Champs if the car can be cleared out of customs in time. The body was heavily damaged by a electrical fire when Mamone tested the car in the US and had to be repaired.
Hopefully we will see Dave Erickson Supercharged Outlaws Holden ute on track soon – the car is a piece of art.
