The FUCHS Lamattina Top Fuel Racing dragster is set to debut an amazing new cylinder head configuration, manufactured in Australia as a joint collaboration between Noonan Race Engineering and Advanced Performance Machining.
The high-technology heads will be fitted for the ANDRA Pro Series 1000 event, to be held at Adelaide International Raceway and team driver Phil Lamattina is excited about the new combination.
“If they go half as good as they look, we should be in good shape,” laughed Lamattina.
“We have been working on these heads for some time and we are extremely happy to have NRE and APM working with us on this project. It’s amazing what these guys are capable of, it really opens up your eyes. They are the very best in the business, no doubt about that,” concluded Lamattina.
LTFR Crew Chief Aaron Hambridge is also happy with the results.
“We have done some major re-engineering with the LTFR heads, the valve angles have changed both for performance and reliability and the quality of the machining work is now what it should be.
“Adelaide should be a good test for us as a team with new heads on the car, on what is a new track for all intents and purposes and being held over a new distance for ANDRA competition. I can’t wait to get down there!”
LTFR will be looking to test at Sydney Dragway before the ANDRA Pro Series 1000.
