Simply wicked! That’s our best description of Steven Smith’s new Pro Mod which will turn a tyre in anger for the first time this weekend at Sydney Jamboree.

The Queensland Pro Mod and Outlaw Radial racer Steven Smith has loaded up from his current Mustang to a sensational new piece of gear, a Larry Jeffers Race Cars C7 Corvette, branded ‘NOEXCUSES’ he can’t wait to see what it can do at Jamboree.
Packing the obligatory Proline 481x that been assembled by KPM Performance, the horsepower will be boosted by twin 98mm Garrett turbos and sent through a 3 speed M&M lock up transmission and converter.

The whole package was built by Mikes Fabworks with sinister green wrap was applied by Loco Wrapz.
Smith had many people to thank in getting the C7 race ready.
“Mike Hone of Mikes Fabworks project managed this build organising basically everything including all fab assembly, he is responsible for quality and timeframe on this build,” said Smith
“Joel Rodriguez, Full Noise Fabrication for working with Mike almost everyday to get done. RCE Performance Warehouse/Race Car Engineering’s Craig Urquhart and Craig Harding, these guys have supported me for many years and the car would not be ready without their backing. Kev and Peta Morton from KPM Performance Engines for all the calls, engine work, setting up four link and a week with Mike on final assembly.
“Genwired Fabrication and Wiring for wiring car. Bushell Composites for the carbon parts and wing, Ben & Jackson Bray for help with suppling the titanium. WM Titanium Products for suppling all titanium bolts. M&M Transmissions for the transmission and converter. Garage Night Wheels for getting rear wheels and Justin Kahl for painting chassis in short time frame. Loco Wrapz for wrapping car in basically a day. Ricky Fenwick for configuring ECU and getting car fired up. PST Performance for crimping of the lines. SCF Racecars for suppling Menser Motorsports struts and shocks. Joh Automotive for the carbon driveshafts.
“I’m sure there are many more I’ve missed and apologies but thankyou. To build car of this calibre in under four months is crazy, I can’t thank you all enough.”

Smith will debut in Outlaw Pro Mod at the Sydney Jamboree this weekend (Mar15) at Sydney Dragway.
