Celebrating its 50th year, the annual Goldenstates returned with NDRC series rounds for Top Doorslammer and Top Fuel Motorcycle for the 2024 edition at the Perth Motorplex.

Two worlds will collide on March 22, 2025 for the first ever double header for Sydney International Speedway (SIS) and Sydney Dragway.

Perth Motorplex’s post-Christmas flame and thunder shows went off again this year in front of a great holiday crowd. Jet dragsters thundered down the quarter and the supercharged action from the Blown Alcohol Allstars delivered five second racing all night long.

Steve Read and Tim McCarthy have reached a mutual agreement that will see Steve take full ownership of the Top Fuel Dragster program. As part of this transition, the team formerly known as Read McCarthy Racing will now be known as Steve Read Racing. Tim McCarthy will dedicate his focus to a full-season campaign with his Valvoline Funny Car, driven by Chris Stipanovich.

The local Perth Top Doorslammer series heats up as Summer Slam delivers Lisa Gregorini’s first home town win, plus Top Fuel Motorcycle and all the Perth Motorplex sportsman classes continue their Track Championship fights.

It has been a long wait to kick start the 2024 edition of the Queensland Drag Racing Championships following extensive upgrades to Willowbank Raceway, but the short-sharp series ran to completion in December encompassing six rounds all up.

Dragway At The Bend hosted the first NDRC Season 2 Championship stop for Top Fuel Motorcycle at the Drag Bike Nationals all bike event, and event that went on to create drag bike history.

The 2024 NSW Track Championship fight is over with all the champions crowned at the Grand Finals. The event was held over two days alongside the PDRC professional series that forms part of the NDRC Championship, unfortunately rain washed out Friday and messed around with the schedule on Saturday, but everyone forged ahead and completed the event in the late evening.

The second NDRC season launched in thunderous style at Dragway At The Bend for the Spring Nationals with a nitro double-header featuring Top Fuel and Nitro Funny Car combined with Top Doorslammer to start their chase for the title, as the venue showed its teeth as a record eater.

PremiAir Racing will head to its first competitive outing of the 2024/2025 NDRC Top Fuel season in less than four weeks buoyed by yet another successful test session completed at its home track of Willowbank Raceway last weekend – the venue for the upcoming New Year Nitro event across January 10-11.

The victory was her second in two months, following her breakthrough triumph at the Springnationals at The Bend Motorsports Park in October, and gave Lisa the lead in the WA Top Doorslammer Championship.

Much more favourable weather conditions greeted the ANDRA Regional Sportsman Championship racers on day two of the South Coast Nationals today at South Coast Raceway. The seaside track came alive on Sunday, 8 December, for a full day of racing to see who would take home ANDRA Christmas Trees.

Early morning showers couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm at the South Coast Nationals, with qualifying for round four of the ANDRA Regional Sportsman Championship now complete ahead of a full day of racing on Sunday. Racers lined up after a rain-delayed start to qualifying sessions and quickly got to work to set the stage for racing at South Coast Raceway (Sunday, 8 December).

The second round of the NDRC Australian Top Doorslammer Championship rolls into Perth Motorplex this Friday and Saturday for the event’s historic 50th running and there are predictions of one of the quickest events yet for the class.

Charlotte Liefting, a 17-year-old from Oxley Island, NSW, is preparing to take the long trek across the country for one of the biggest events of her season—the 50th Anniversary Goldenstates Drag Racing Championships. The prestigious event will take place at the Perth Motorplex in Western Australia on November 22-23, where Charlotte will compete in the Junior Dragster class.

The 50th annual Burson Auto Parts Goldenstates is a title every drag racer wants to win and none more so than Western Australia’s Daniel and Lisa Gregorini, who will both be seeking victory in the second round of the Australian Top Doorslammer Championship.

Neil Gannaway broke through for his first ANDRA Christmas Tree at last year’s Goldenstates, and now his daughter and third-generation racer, 21 year old Rachel Gannaway, will do her best to follow in his footsteps at this weekend’s 50th running of the prestigious event.
