Only three weeks remain until the inaugural Western Conference champions for the Aeroflow National Sportsman Championship will be crowned at Dragway at The Bend’s Riverbend Nationals on April 6 and 7.

Defending champions Rapisarda Autosport International have been the ones to beat in the NDRC Top Fuel Championship of late, but a horror Westernationals Sunday now sees the team racing against time to get both of its drivers back on-track for the upcoming Riverbend Nationals at Dragway at The Bend (April 6-7).

The tough as nails NSW Championship Series has launched for 2024 with a strong roll up of racers for round one. Despite some rain slowing things up, the event was finished on time with racers fighting to take early points to begin their track championship campaigns.

The steady improvement in performance from the team over the season has seen Phil Lamattina now bolt to second place in the National Drag Racing Championship (NDRC) for Top Fuel.

NDRC Aeroflow National Sportsman Championship Western Conference Junior Dragster points leader Cooper Plummer took out his second event win of the season and his first Gold Christmas Tree at the Westernationals at the weekend and is now hoping to secure his third tree at this weekend’s Ken Scroop Memorial (March 9/10).

A blistering 500kmh pass by Top Fuel’s Wayne Newby headlined an awesome day one of the MacTrack Westernationals, with Top Fuel, Top Doorslammer, Top Fuel Motorcycle and the Aeroflow National Sportsman Series delighting a packed crowd of nearly 9,000 at the Perth Motorplex today.

The National Drag Racing Championship (NDRC) is about to double the nitro at Sydney Dragway for the first time ever, with Top Fuel Dragsters and Nitro Funny Cars set to join forces for the Gulf Western Oil Nitro Champs across May 3-5 – Tickets and entries on sale now!

With increasingly intense championship battles, a visiting international star, and more than 200 racers including five 11,000hp flame-throwing Top Fuel dragsters in their only visit to the West for 2024, the 53rd MacTrack Westernationals at the Perth Motorplex will have it all this Saturday and Sunday (March 2/3).

A foggy start to the morning gave way to a second day of clear skies and perfect racing conditions at South Coast Raceway. More than 120 Aeroflow National Sportsman Championship competitors made the most of the continuing brilliant conditions to put on a thrilling show at the South Coast Rumble event, part of the championship’s Western Conference.
