RAPISARDA AUTOSPORT INTERNATIONAL clocked a superb personal best of 3.82/317. 94 mph. to book a first round match- up against reigning Top Fuel champion Antron Brown at the opening round of the 2013 NHRA Mello Yello series.

On the final day of qualifying RAI’s third run was thwarted due to tyre spin. The newest team in the NHRA was set to move up the charts in the final session until dropping the number eight cylinder, 1.5 seconds into the run.
“Again, the boys gave me a great race car,” said Dixon, minutes after the final session. “I can’t believe that the team only came together over the last five weeks. Their efforts and the results this weekend have really exceeded my expectations. The fact that we were only one of a handful of teams to go down the track on all four runs is a testament to the talents of the “Rapisarda boys” and Lee Beard.”
“Were happy with todays qualifying,” said Santo Rapisarda Junior. “Four runs over two days, each time the car has run like clockwork and there has been no damage to any parts. It shows that we are on the right track with our set -up. We are making small changes after each run and that process is starting to pay off. The team is pumped and can’t wait to go race on Sunday. “
