Drag Racing Manager Peter Pike has resigned from the Perth Motorplex team, to take up a position in the WA mining industry.
Peter Pike said, “I’ve had a great time working in Drag Racing and I’m proud to have been part of the Perth Motorplex management team. Perth Motorplex has nurtured a fantastic Drag Racing environment in WA and I know Gary Miocevich and Kevin Prendergast will ensure that continues into the future”.
“Since 1996 when I started, I’ve had an incredible journey running many diverse events from Drag Racing, street machine shows, burnout events and more. It been great fun but it the workload is high and right now I’m looking for a life change to see where that may take me”, added Pike.
Perth Motorplex Director, Gary Miocevich said “I personally thank Peter for his great work since 1996 and his dedication to our team and the sport of Drag Racing. I’ll miss the many passionate discussions that make for good management and also I wish him all the best in his life change to the Mining Industry”.
Kevin Prendergast, General Manager, Perth Motorplex agreed, “I’ve enjoyed working with Peter and wish him well in his future in the Mining industry. I’m sure Peter will be successful at whatever role he undertakes”.
Perth Motorplex will take this opportunity to also re-examine its management structure to define the best way forward to ensure that it maintains the management quality and therefore the sports future in Perth.
