Perth Motorplex’s State Government managing body VenuesWest has announced that the Perth Motorplex season will be ended early to meet new federal restrictions on large gatherings of people.

In a statement, VenuesWest said:

“As a result of the new restrictions in place due to COVID-19, the Perth Motorplex season has now come to an end. We are complying with the Prime Minister’s recommendation that events of 500 and over are to be cancelled. We are in the process of advising competitors, patrons, contractors and providers. Our highest priority will always be the safety of our staff and all visitors to our venues.

“All our other bookings, classes and programs at a VenuesWest self-managed venue are still occurring as scheduled. We advise people to continue to review the website for continuing updates at www.venueswest.wa.gov.au.”

The Perth Motorplex season typically runs until the end of May, and still had two local championship events left to run.
