Former Top Fuel champion Phil Lamattina has returned to the driver’s seat for the first time since 2015 in the Carrot Kings dragster.
Lamattina started with a 0.836 60 foot launch on his first run, and then returned for a second run where he shut off slightly early to a 4.000.
“I’ve been waiting a long time to do this and man oh man, what a buzz, just like old times!” Lamattina said.
Lamattina will be part of a seven car Top Fuel field at next weekend’s East Coast Thunder event, the opening round of the 400 Thunder pro season. Check out more pics from Lamattina’s return below.
