A number of teams have taken the opportunity to do some testing behind closed doors ahead of the Fuchs Winternationals but our spies, at great personal risk, have got some of the inside goss.
Kirsten Tucker is fast on her way to becoming Australia’s first female Pro Stock driver. She made some passes to the 1000 feet mark including some strong launches as quick as 1.01 in the Holden Monaro brother Shane drove last season.
She will continue to test over the weekend at the Winters Warm Up.
Meanwhile Scott Maclean has been coming to grips with his new Funny Car and has already produced some stout figures of 5.78 and 5.80, shut off at 5.3 and 5.1 seconds into the runs respectively.
The team will be testing the Top Doorslammer today in an effort to edge into the five second performance zone that may be needed just to qualify at the Fuchs Winternationals.
