The Randy Meyer Racing Team is proud to announce the addition of Australian drag racing standout Cheyne Phillips to its 2025 driver lineup for the NHRA Nevada Nationals, taking place October 31–November 2 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Phillips will make his highly anticipated U.S. debut behind the wheel of the GUNK Dragster, joining teammate McKenna Bold, who will also be competing for the team at the event in her rookie season.

Phillips enters the NHRA ranks with an impressive resume from his racing career in Australia. He is the current Australian Top Alcohol Funny Car Speed Record Holder, the 2025 Australian Winternationals Champion, the largest drag racing event outside of the United States, and notably the first Australian Top Alcohol Dragster driver to run into the 5.30s. His proven success and record-setting performances make him one of Australia’s most exciting exports in professional drag racing.

“Getting the chance to come over from Australia and race in the NHRA against some of the toughest competitors in the world is something I’ve dreamed of my entire life,” said Phillips. “There were times I wasn’t sure it would ever happen, but here we are, just a few short days away. I can hardly wait to hit the throttle in one of Randy Meyer Racing’s championship-winning dragsters and enjoy every moment of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity”.

The Randy Meyer Racing Team continues to build its international legacy by providing opportunities for elite drivers around the world to compete in NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster competition.

“Cheyne is bringing a lot of experience and talent to our team,” said team owner Randy Meyer. “He’s proven himself working with our crew in the pits, and we’re thrilled to help him make the transition to U.S. racing. Having both Cheyne and McKenna represent our team in Las Vegas makes for an exciting weekend. We know that both drivers will do a great job for us.”

The team has celebrated multiple world championships and event wins while partnering with GUNK, a leader in engine degreasers and performance cleaning products.
