RAPISARDA RACING have nailed a provisional tenth spot for the last round of the NHRA season at Pomona Raceway in California with a slick 3.89/503 km/h pass and significantly also head such nitro luminaries as title aspirant Steve Torrence, Al-Anabi ace Shawn Langdon and second generation star Brandon Bernstein.
“The team was happy with the run particularly because we didn’t hurt any parts.” according to Tino Rapisarda. “We were soft on the clutch application and according to our data that cut our mid-track speed.”
The Rapisarda run was a mere .085sec. behind seven -time champ Tony Schumacher however the “Aussie” squad was 8 km/h faster.
“Tomorrow we get to have two more qualifiers and we think we can go faster. There are a few areas that we have identified that can improve upon and I wouldn’t be surprised if we can move up the charts and get amongst the leading Pro teams.” Said Rapisarda
