Sydney based Top fuel squad Rapisarda Racing is set to mount a two -car attack for the final round on the NHRA season at Pomona this weekend with Western Australian hot shot Damien Harris to steer the second Rapisarda missile alongside NHRA ace and regular Rapisarda pilot Cory McClenathan.

“We’ve been thinking for some time about running a second car,” According to Team principal Santo Rapisarda.  ‘’  I talked it over with my boys and we decided the time was right. Damien is financing his own deal, has come over with his own crew and my son Santo Junior will be tuning the car. It’s an exciting time to have two cars racing and I’m hopeful we will get to do a side- by- side pass sometime over the weekend. It will be a proud moment for our team and a real feather in the cap for Australian drag racing .”

With over 29 entries in the elite Top Fuel category the Oz team is leaving no stone unturned and is confident that an intense day – long testing regime at Las Vegas Motor Speedway last week will pay dividends.

“We stayed in in Vegas to do some testing and we were very happy to get in several good runs. There were a lot of teams out there and I think our times stood up well against the American teams.’’ According to Rapisarda.

Rapisarda Racing hit the track for round one of qualifying on Friday 11 November at 6.a.m. AEDST time.
