Rapisarda Autosport International will make their race debut at Sonoma Raceway this weekend. Joining RAI on the second leg of the Western Swing is NHRA “Mr. Nice Guy” Tommy Johnson who will race for the first time on American soil under the RAI banner.
“It’s great to have Tommy join our family team,” said co –tuner Santo Rapisarda Junior. “Tommy has spent the last couple of weeks at the workshop and is jumping out of his skin to go racing. We’re excited to be joining the Western Swing for Sonoma and then Seattle next weekend. We passed up on the opportunity to race at Denver last weekend in favor of spending time getting prepared and organized for the next two meetings. We have been to Sonoma before; I think it was back in 2007 when we came with dad as spectators. It’s a stunning facility and one of the best tracks that the NHRA race on.”
