They came from far and wide this year to congregate at Warwick Dragway for the annual 6 Banger racing bonanza. Here is the wrap up of who won what and a few photos.
Detailed results are a bit thin but we can tell who took out each class.
Norm Stewart honoured 6 Banger Nats pioneer and his late father by launching the iconic “Panic” altered Mark Stewart style.
Rhett Cooper Fowle towed his V6 altered all the way from WA with a HK Premier no less – and had a couple of scary moments.
Ashley Pimm in the country’s quickest Holden six powered Sedan rattled off some 5.8 second passes.
Jeff Ramsey unleashed the anger of his blown FJ “Brumby” ute for the first time in competition for low sixes.
Michael Douglas won Blown Turbo in his wild little LJ over Phil Penny’s Honda.
Quick ET was a battle of front engined diggers in the final with Jason Borg the winner over Savos Pandelakis.
Ron Holz won Classic over Errol Webber with his EK Holden. Alistair Howard took home Super Street in hi Moo Crew Torana against Kevin Brown in the final. Street was won by Phil Benger defeating Ben Cooper in the final and Kevin Morton wrapped up Stick in his HD ute – and also claiming event Grand Champion – beating Charlie Muscat’s tough little Torana.
