The Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Car roadshow pulled into Palmyra Dragway in North Queensland for another flame throwing display from twelve nitro burners.
A big crowd jammed the venue to see the funny cars, backed by wheelstanders and a bunch of local racers.
The all in fire up saluted the crowd.
Round one carnage saw the Time Traveller smash an engine off the line and Nathan Peirano perform a spectacular save to keep the car off the wall while skating around on oil soaked slicks.
Going into the final round of the three round format, Greg Leahy (Storm Trooper), Rick Gauci (Nitro Express) and Shane Olive (LA Hooker) were undefeated and gunning for the event crown.
Gauci’s 3.979 defeated Olive’s 4.049 to finish first and third in the points respectively.
Leahy’s 4.274 win over Justin Walshe in Let’s Boogie wrapped up the second spot on points.
Winners are grinners.
The inclement North Queensland weather struck late in the event for the sportsman racing was finalised.
