When the Sydney Kenda Tires 660 Drag Radial Series was cancelled the series pivoted to take their action to Benaraby Raceway. Dubbed ‘Hooked Up In The Harbour’, a host of radial racers followed to let loose at the Central Queensland venue.
“What an amazing round and one that reminds us all how fun it is to race and enjoy our pride and joys and most of all create some life time memories,” said KENDA Promoter Justin Simpson.
“It had everything and more. The vibe was like no other and the place just roars hospitality, passion and inspiration.”
Run over a couple of days a taste of racing action was had with a 5.50 Shootout held on the Friday night.
Friday night the 5.50 shootout was one of the best yet and to see racers lose with a 5.50 on holeshots was nothing short of the perfect recipe. We will definitely do this again,” continued Simpson. “Saturday was the day for PBs and an absolute cracker.”
Paul Butler in his little Gemini ‘NANA’ was the giant killer on Friday night’s Woodham Petroleum 5.50 shootout taking home the top prize against Ashley Pemberton’s VL in the final.
