Congratulations to all the winners from Round 4 of the Palmyra Drag Racing Club Inc Track Championship over the weekend, the team pushed through some sketchy North Queensland weather to complete the event.

A couple on nice personal bests highlighted the event. Adam McNichol cranked out his first six in the former Greg Anderson NHRA Pro Stock Grand Am. “We did it and at our home track! 6.96 at 196mph,” said McNichol. “After coming so close at the Winternationals, and battling some issues, we were seriously sweating on parts arriving in time.”

Also in Top Sportsman Craig Chapman drove Leigh Anderson’s EL Falcon (which also once competed in Pro Stock) to a 8.31 personal best.

On two wheels Rachel Wilkins also ran a personal best on her home track with a 8.31 as well. Look out for Rachel in the future aboard Steve Kitchen’s 80s Top Fuel Motorcycle that has been restored to its original condition for a return to the track.
