The Queensland Drag Racing Championship has crowned the winners of the 2016 Willowbank track championship series following the final round on Oct 29.
Unfortunately there was no fields tendered for QDRC Outlaws, Super Comp or Comp Bike so track champions will have to be confirmed at a later date.
In Modified, Mark Allan took the event win over Phil Bellert, but fell a mere two points short of stealing the championship from Kellie Kidd, and Bellert ended up third.
Adam Solomon and Mitchel Bauer went at it in the Super Sedan final, Bauer was the victor in a double break out final, but like in Modified, Bauer still fell agonisingly short by just a single point to Solomon in the championship.
Ben Dreyer finished off his QDRC campaign with a win over Shawn Taskis in the Super Street final. Despite the round win, Dreyer could not claw back Lucas Holz championship lead.
On two wheels and Tammy Goldthorpe finished of a dominating season aboard her Suzuki with another event win, defeating her nearest championship rival Alan Annis in the final.
And finally in Junior Dragster, the top two in the championship also fought out the final. Dominic Nipperess brought on the win light against Madison McClenan and in the end won the championship comfortably.
