Australian-born NHRA Top Fuel driver Richie Crampton and girlfriend Stephanie Laski have welcomed their first child into the world on Tuesday afternoon.
Emma Kathleen Crampton, 8 pounds, 13 ounces, was born at 3:59 p.m. at IU Health North Hospital. Both baby and mother are doing well.
“Well, we’re now parents!” Crampton said. “Everyone is doing great. It’s a new chapter in our lives, and Stephanie and I are excited to be parents.”
Crampton, 33, is a rookie in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series. A native of Australia, Crampton moved to the United States 10 years ago to pursue his dream of driving a Top Fuel dragster.
Now an American citizen, Crampton got the opportunity to drive Morgan Lucas Racing’s car this season.
Drag News passes on its congratulations and well wishes to Crampton and Laski.
