The inaugural Ballistic Performance Parts QLD AllBike Super Series came to a thrilling conclusion at Willowbank Raceway on September 26, with championships decided across four brackets and Russell Bell claiming the honour of becoming the first-ever winner of the prestigious John Kreis Clockwork Orange Trophy for overall points winner.

With fields attracting up to 170 bikes at each event, the series had delivered plenty of close racing throughout its inaugural season. Heading into the third and final round, every championship remained up for grabs, setting the scene for an action-packed showdown at ‘The Bank’.
Modified Bike featured a three-point battle between Russell Bell and Brian Alvisio, with Jason Clarkin and Dale Marshall both still in striking distance. Brett McEnroe held the same narrow advantage over Ben Searles from Palmyra in King of the Streets with Dale Marshall, Kristen Oliver and Richard Burwell. Max Jordan entered the final round with the strongest championship lead in V-Twin/Cruiser, but John Maher and Dan Allwood were still in the running, while Junior Drag Bike promised a particularly close finish, with just five points separating James Schofield and Blake Hagan.

With the inaugural John Kreis Clockwork Orange Trophy also on the line, there was plenty to race for.
MODIFIED BIKE
Five racers managed to win all three of their races in the Modified Bike shootout format, with Mark ‘Lucky’ Gordon, Jake Herriman and Eric Redman among those putting themselves in contention. However, the championship ultimately came down to the two leading contenders, Russell Bell and Brian Alvisio.
Alvisio delivered a near-perfect performance in the semi-finals, combining a .002 reaction time with a 9.015-second pass on his 9.01 dial-in for an impressive .007 package to secure his place in the final.

Bell, meanwhile, had a bye run but made the most of the opportunity, recording a 9.044 on his 9.04 dial-in to produce an even better .004 package and secure the championship.
The pair then lined up for the final, delivering a fitting conclusion to their season-long battle.
Bell got the jump with a .028 reaction time against Alvisio’s .036, before both riders broke out in a closely contested finish. Alvisio recorded an 8.97 on his 9.01 dial-in, while Bell crossed the line in 9.01 on his 9.03 dial.
Bell claimed the race win and the inaugural Modified Bike championship, completing a memorable season. Dale Marshall also gathered enough points to move ahead of Jason Clarkin and secure third in the final standings.
KING OF THE STREETS
With an impressive 62 bikes entered, King of the Streets was one of the standout brackets of the event, with competitors battling to establish themselves as the inaugural series champion.
A lengthy list of riders managed three wins during the day, including Colin Jensen, Dave Fallon, Rob Mitchell and Cody McLeod. McLeod had originally entered LAMS but stepped up when that category failed to attract a field.
Championship leader Ben Searles also recorded three wins, doing enough to secure the title before the final results were settled.
John Kreis, whose 1971 Kawasaki H2 750 two-stroke has been part of his life for more than 54 years, also enjoyed three wins. He narrowly missed a place in the final by just .01, having run .03 outside his dial-in.

The final came down to Tony Wilson and Ryan De Roo. De Roo recorded an 11.018 on his 11.00 dial-in, while Wilson ran 9.573 on his 9.55.
Unfortunately for Wilson, a .373 reaction time against De Roo’s sharp .043 proved costly. Wilson then broke out with a 9.54, handing De Roo the double-breakout victory. De Roo crossed the line in 11.02 on his 10.95 dial-in.
While De Roo celebrated the event win, Searles took the championship, with Brett McEnroe finishing runner-up and Kirsten Oliver securing third ahead of Dale Marshall on countback.

Searles’ championship victory was made even more special by the fact that he rode his motorcycle to all three rounds of the series.
For a category celebrating street bikes and the people who ride them, it was a fitting achievement for the first-ever King of the Streets champion.
V-TWIN/CRUISER
The V-Twin/Cruiser category produced another entertaining day of racing, with none of the top three championship contenders managing to record three wins.
Only three riders achieved a perfect three-win tally, while James Baghous narrowly missed out on a place in the final after finishing .08 over his dial-in.
Marty Armstrong and Beau Strike progressed to the deciding race, with little separating the pair at the start line.
Armstrong held a slight reaction-time advantage, but a breakout proved decisive. His 11.02-second pass against an 11.15 dial-in handed the victory to Strike, who recorded a 10.469 on his 10.45 dial-in.
While Strike celebrated the event win, Max Jordan did enough to claim the inaugural V-Twin/Cruiser championship.
Kate Collins made a late charge up the standings, leapfrogging John Maher to secure second in the championship, with Maher finishing third.
JUNIOR DRAG BIKE
Junior Drag Bike entered the final round with one of the closest championship battles of the series, with just five points separating James Schofield and Blake Hagan.
Schofield rose to the occasion, becoming the only championship contender to record three wins for the day and securing the inaugural Junior Drag Bike title.
The championship victory also earned Schofield the keys to a Pista scooter valued at $3,400, providing an impressive reward for his season-long efforts.

While Schofield celebrated the championship, brothers Jayden and Kye Badcock stole the spotlight in the event final.
Jayden got the better of his brother at the start line with a .059 reaction time and went on to record an 8.14 on his 8.00 dial-in to take the win.
Hagan finished second in the championship, with Roma racer Rhys Mason rounding out the top three.
LADIES
Although the Ladies category was not part of the championship standings this season, seven competitors took to the track at Willowbank Raceway for Allbike Day.
With several first-time racers joining the field, experienced campaigners Kirsten Oliver and Rochelle Strike looked to be strong contenders.
However, rookie Katelyn Gore had other ideas.
In her first event, Gore delivered an impressive performance to reach the final against Oliver. She then produced a .060 reaction time and ran 12.078 on her 12.00 dial-in to secure a memorable debut victory.
Oliver broke out with a 10.38 against her 10.40 dial-in, handing Gore the win in a fantastic result for the newcomer.
It was an outstanding way for Gore to begin her drag racing journey and a highlight of the final round.
JOHN KREIS CLOCKWORK ORANGE TROPHY
One of the major talking points of the inaugural series was the introduction of the John Kreis Clockwork Orange Trophy, awarded to the competitor who accumulated the most points across any bracket throughout the season.
Based on the concept of the John Storm Trophy awarded in the ANDRA series, the new award recognises consistency and performance across the championship calendar.
Russell Bell proved a deserving inaugural recipient, finishing the season undefeated and claiming two of the three event wins on his way to the Modified Bike championship.
Bell finished the series on 86 points, a commanding 13-point advantage over joint runners-up Ben Searles and Brian Alvisio, who each finished on 73 points.
It was a fitting reward for Bell’s outstanding season and cemented his place in the history books as the first winner of the John Kreis Clockwork Orange Trophy.
