The decision to pay only winners and runners up at Sydney Dragway’s large ANDRA events has been changed with semi final and quarter final pay outs to be made, scaled to spectator numbers.
In a follow up to a recently released joint statement from ANDRA and Sydney Dragway, the change was explained to racers.
“Recently Sydney Dragway released a bulletin regarding the large ANDRA events held at the Dragway in May and November. Within the bulletin it stated that groups 2, 3 and 4 would no longer receive quarter and semi-final final prize money and that win and runner up would be increased,” the statement read.
“Due to further discussions with racers and understanding their collective preference, it has been agreed that groups 2, 3 and 4 quarter and semi-final final prize money will be reinstated to the scale, with win and runner up not increasing.”
