The biggest gathering of Nitro Funny Cars ever seen in Australia with 13 of the Outlaw Nitro variety put on a clinical display of side by side Nitro passes.
American star Ron Capps driving the “LA Hooker” looked to have the goods on the field early on before Rick Gauci stepped up in the Nitro Express ’57 with a record breaking 5.69 taking the victory on ET countback in the final round.
The APSA Pro Street Grand Finals were also held in conjunction with the Outlaw Nitro event, the Pro Street guys and girls put on a another awesome display with their abuse of horsepower.
