Super Gas spokesman Michael Bibby today announced that round 3 of the Southern Super Gas Series will be held on Sunday March 4th 2012 at Ballarat’s 1/8th mile track.
“With Ballarat Drag Racers Club coming on board with support for the series this completes the calendar for the 2011/12 season,” commented spokesman Michael Bibby.
The next round of the Southern Super Gas Series is at Portland’s Fuchs South Coast Raceway at the Doorslammer Slamfest on February 3rd and 4th, with the final at the Nitro Champs in Sydney in March.
“When we started this series one of the things we set out to do was to not only provide additional racing opportunities for Super Gas competitors, but also to vary the formats to challenge the racers. This continues with the Portland February event being a traditional elimination event with the possibility of first round buybacks while Ballarat will be a round robin event. Combine this with our unique points system of average qualifying ET’s then this series does provide something different,” added Michael.
