This Saturday 13 July 2013 will see the battle for Willowbank Raceway’s 2012/2013 Track Championship once again under way, with just three rounds left to run including November’s finale event.
Taking to the track this Saturday will be racers from the Knijff Earthmoving Modified, Powercruise Super Sedan, Prime Signs/Speed Elec Super Street, Gasoline Alley Harley-Davidson Modified Bike, Donnelly Blasting Services Junior Dragster and Super Gas brackets.
Previous events point to a strong entry list of up to 100 racers on-track, as the racers look to shore up their championship positions as November’s finale beckons.
“We have certainly hit the start of the home stretch for the Willowbank Raceway track championship, and that means you can expect the racers to be doing all they can to secure valuable points at each and every opportunity this Saturday,” said Willowbank Raceway Acting President Tony Wedlock.
“Currently on-top and sure to put on a show for the fans are Wade Moran (Knijff Earthmoving Modified), Paul Doeblien (Powercruise Super Sedan), Blaze Hansen (Prime Signs/Speed Elec Super Street), Kevin Cleeve (Gasoline Alley Harley-Davidson Modified Bike), Dylan Leo (Donnelly Blasting Services Junior Dragster) and Simon Isherwood (Super Gas).
“Throw into the mix that all of the race brackets are extremely close on points with many racers snapping at each other’s heels for the top spots, and you have a recipe for some great drag racing this weekend.”
The Knijff Earthmoving Modified, Powercruise Super Sedan, Prime Signs/Speed Elec Super Street, Gasoline Alley Harley-Davidson Modified Bike, Donnelly Blasting Services Junior Dragster and Super Gas racers will hit the track Saturday 13 July for qualifying from 9.00am, with racing from 2.00pm.
Tickets are just $20.00 for adult spectators while students with ID can gain entry for just $18.00 and kids 13 and under can attend at no cost. For more information and full schedules please visit www.willowbankraceway.com.au
