More than 120 racers are expected to front up for this weekend’s fourth round of the Willowbank Raceway Track Championship, which is also a great testing opportunity for the upcoming Rocket Allstars Racing Series (RARS ) national points rounds.
Racers from Super Comp, Competition Bike, Allstar Batteries Supercharged Outlaws, Knijff Earthmoving Modified, Powercruise Super Sedan, Prime Signs/Speed Elec Super Street, Modified Bike, Donnelly Blasting Services Junior Dragster and Super Gas will all come together in the pursuit of the prestigious Track Champion mantle.
Willowbank Raceway Managing Director Steve Bettes said the spectators are guaranteed to see some passionate racing as the championship point races heat up.
“As we head into the serious end of the 2011/2011 racing season, our local racers are honing their skills and sharpening their gaze for the final four rounds of the RARS national points chase and the closing rounds of the track championship,” said Bettes.
“Both the national sportsman title and our own track championship mantle are coveted in the sportsman ranks, and that means exciting, edge of your seat racing is guaranteed.”
Gates will open at 11.00am, with qualifying from 1.00pm to 5.30pm before racing kicks off from 6.00pm, with Group Two and Outlaws set to take t the track at 6.00pm, 7.30pm and 9.00pm.
